About us

Our shop is situated in the North Canterbury town of Rangiora, just 20 minutes to the north-west of Christchurch on New Zealand's South Island. We are an absolute treasure trove for any craftsperson. Quilter's Quarters carries around 4000 bolts of fabric in a huge variety of styles, prints and colours, so no matter what you are looking for, chances are it is here! We have the South Island's largest range of patchwork fabrics and have new fabrics arriving every few days. We are also proud to be agents for Huskavarna and Elna sewing machines, and utilise an excellent mechanic for sewing machine repairs and servicing.
 
On entering our store, you will be greeted by friendly staff and a warm welcome from Pauline, the owner and her staff Jan, Judy and Pam. Each of these ladies is experienced in a variety of crafts, and are delighted to help customers with personalised service and all the help you could need.
 
Recently added to our range of products is a growing selection of woollen yarns and knitting supplies. We also have an extensive range of embroidery supplies. Our classroom is spacious and well lit and is situated in store which means you can make last minute fabric changes, or replace anything you have forgotten to bring with you. We have tutors from throughout North Canterbury teaching a variety of projects and techniques at all levels from beginner to advanced.
 
We have recently set up this website, which we are constantly adding new products to. We are happy to process mail orders for anyone unable to make it into our store. Our newsletter can also be read here and we invite anyone interested to register for this to be emailed to them.
 
Trading hours for the shop are:
 
Monday to Friday - 9.00am to 5.30pm
 
Saturday - 10.00am to 2.00pm
 
Sunday - Closed

A minimum cut applies on all products of 10cm. We cannot refund or exchange products once they are cut to your requirements. 

 All efforts have been made to ensure fabric photographs are as close to the actual colour as possible, however, computer screens all display differently and some colour difference in the actual product is inevitable.

 

Orders will be processed on the next working day and sent by courier. Delivery will be within 2-3 days from ordering.

 

Blocks of the month and fabric clubs will be invoiced monthly and charged to your credit card.

 

Thank you to the people who have let us know that the pricing of fabrics on the website can be a little confusing. All prices are per 10cm of fabric and are in New Zealand dollars. If you want to order half a meter of fabric, you need to enter this as 5 units. We will see that this is 5 x 10cm and send you the correct amount of fabric. We apologise for any confusion.

Due to circumstances beyond our control we do not have the facility to order a specific number of anything on our website. Please use the '10 cm' option to order single items such as Block of the month or patterns
